Hiragana and katakana aren’t two different alphabets with different sounds — every character has a matching partner that sounds identical, just written differently (hiragana for native Japanese words and grammar, katakana mostly for foreign loanwords and emphasis). Once a hiragana row feels automatic, its katakana row is really just a new set of shapes for sounds you already know.
